His contributions include implementing the “Vivad se Vishwas” scheme and faceless tax assessments, streamlining taxation procedures for businesses and individuals.
His expertise extends to regulatory compliance, direct taxation and corporate finance. As a member of the PMLA Adjudicating Authority, he adjudicated high-profile cases related to money laundering and property attachment. Additionally, as Director General of the Election Commission of India, he managed electoral litigation and legal frameworks concerning candidate disqualifications.

His tenure at Odisha State Financial Corporation (OSFC) allowed him to gain firsthand experience in financial structuring, debt management and business law.
His specialization includes advising businesses on regulatory frameworks, corporate governance and financial compliance. With a strong understanding of financial regulations, he assists clients in structuring transactions to ensure legal soundness and operational efficiency.
In addition to his legal career, Subrata is dedicated to social service. He serves as the General Secretary of Alumni Association of Kamalakanta Vidyapitha, contributing to the institution’s development and community outreach initiatives. He also provides free acupressure therapy based on reflexology at the Gurudwara Charitable Acupressure Treatment Centre in Cuttack, Odisha, helping ailing individuals improve their well-being.
